I made this back in the day at Normandale, I want to say in 2005 or 2006. It was for a Painting 1 class, my teacher hated it because she was a real traditionalist and said my lady was too "white"... Well then... Anyway, now it sits in one of my best friends apartments in Fargo being admired every day! So take that Painting 1!

Modernized Rose Pattern

I saw this old 1950's sheet/ table cloth and thought it was lovely. I decided to put my own spin on it, broke out the watercolors and finished it up photoshop. Just a project to keep me busy and interested for a while.

Life is good...

I am healthy, happy, have a great home, a great amazing man friend, a cute dog and fat tabby cat, food in the fridge, a running car, a caring mom, a computer, internet, cable tv, a fun part-time job as a waitress, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from MCAD.... What else could a girl need/want? Well. I need another JOB. It's been a nice break, it's been fun freelancing, creating a website, making business cards, filling orders on Etsy, spending time on me, myself and I. Now I'm just bored. And if you're BORED, you're BORING. That's what I always say. Time to start seriously looking for a new j.o.b.

Hand Painted Skateboards

 

 The Weenie Dog board was done in 2009 for a Product Design Class, it hung in the Tea Garden Gallery Uptown Mpls, MN for a couple months.

The second board was just finished this week 12-22-10 and will be in the Obsolete Show at the Tarnish and Gold Gallery NE Mpls MN in January!

Dragon Illustration for t-shirt

 

This is an illustration I did for Lars, he wanted me to draw a dragon for a UFC type show T-shirt, which he was going to sell in Philly. Unfortunately it didn't make it to print because of the short deadline. It's cool he gave me the chance to do it when just meeting each other. I said I'd love to do a t-shirt design even though wrestling and bloody UFC stuff isn't my style, I was confident I could illustrate the dragon he wanted. I'm happy I tried my best with the circumstances that kept popping up (lap top broken and a short deadline) and I'm impressed I kept my cool and I really enjoyed drawing something different!!!
